The All Time Low concert I went to early this year because there were amazing bands on the tour, it was fun, and the guys had awesome energy. It was the best day ever!

Well, I would really love to perform. I've been singing for many years now, and performing's all I really know in my life. I've been trying my hardest to start a band and make it as a singer/songwriter, but every time I find people, they always back out. I don't really want to give up music because it's such a part of who I am, but I feel like I can't make everyone happy and make myself happy at the same time because nothing ever works.

Hey, I understand...been there, although not with music. Did everything that everyone else wanted me to do, woke up one day, miserable, hating my life and wondering how it got that way...
Then I had a friend come into my life who brought me much spiritual guidance...and I actually sat and wrote down what my highest and best personal life would be like: who would be in it, what I would do with my life, what I would have (materially) and a timeline to achieve that. And, from that list, I actually starting remaking my life the way I want it to be. Not to hurt or disappoint anyone in my life, but, yeah, I don't think they always care what YOU want so long as you do what THEY want.
Before that, I had to put aside my art for a long time, and was miserable over it. Now, things are changing so much for the better, I LOVE my life and it keeps getting better. I find I can give more to the people around me in every way, because I am the best version of me, now.
Just wanted to give you some courage in that direction, if I can! Never give in, never give up on YOUR dreams

I'm trying to think of what to do. The thought of my life not performing and doing what I want to do just destroys me, so I know I have to make some choices. I'm just not sure of what the right ones are, but I'm going to try and look for them wherever they may be.
You're right about not giving up my dreams. I know I shouldn't do it. I know it's an over-dramatic move. I also know that's it's a lot of work to do what I want to do. The problem with me is finding a place to start. I keep looking at everyone I know, and they're getting to sort of do what I want to do. Like I said in my blog, my boyfriend's playing in a band that's opening up for a pretty big band in this area. Maybe I just have to wait for a long time for what I want to come to me or something, but I've been performing since I was a kid. It just seems like I've already worked long and hard enough to at least see some progress, but there hasn't been any. Last year, I joined a cover band. In a few months, I'm going to be working for another one. It's not even music I like. It's just to make a quick buck.
I'm sure that everything will make sense soon for me. I'm sure I'll find out what I'm meant to do. And when I do, I'll definitely remember your advice.
